Dog Groomer Julia Buttitta Joins Missy
In October 2024, dog groomer Julia Buttitta will celebrate her one-year anniversary at Grooming By Missy. She has taken a solid position within the staff and has joined Missy and Anna as a top dog grooming team in Medina County.
Julia was drawn to work at Grooming By Missy through the influence of her sister Anna. She had taken on a role at the salon, and Julia was intrigued by the good things she heard from her sister. “We got so lucky with Missy, she has been a great teacher,” Julia said.
Owner Melissa Zubricky opened her new Hinckley location in January 2020, and has seen solid growth during the past four years. Her strong relationships with her customers was key during her start-up period, and many past and new customers have been reaching out to contact her.
Julia Brings Energy To Grooming Team
Julia Buttitta brings an added smile and sense of enthusiasm to the team at Grooming By Missy. She was born and raised in Hinckley, graduating from Highland High School. Julia received her state cosmetology license in 2021.
She continues with her mentoring at GBM and has grown in both her transition to dog grooming clients and her passion for their care. “It was a bit overwhelming at first,” said Julia. Adding that in her role as a preparation assistant, she is able to give each dog more time and attention.
“We got so lucky with Missy, she has been such a great teacher,” she said. Her favorite past time activities include listening to music, and drawing (often sketching some of the puppies she sees on the job).
Missy and her team are recognized as one of the top dog groomers in Cleveland. The salon has been named a champion and finalist in The Best Of The Best Pet Groomer in Medina County for three consecutive years. The reader’s choice contest is sponsored by The Gazette.
Melissa Zubricky obtained her formal training at the Medina County Joint Vocational Center, graduating in 1986.
